This is the only acceptable review of this book.
ReplyDeleteI feel if anything it is too acceptable. (full disclosure, I read most of it with the exception of the 5 billion page speech at the end. Ayn Rand, you fail 'show, don't tell' forever)
ReplyDeleteBrava. A thousand applause .gifs.
ReplyDeleteBest review ever.
ReplyDeleteI beat both Bioshocks. I'm pretty sure that's the same thing.
ReplyDeletei read this book because a boy i liked gave me my own copy (cool love interest, super). i read the whole dang thing but ended up drawing a bunch of penises all over the pages.
ReplyDeleteSuper, that is a far better use of the paper than the words printed on it.
ReplyDelete"How Ayn Rand Ruined My Childhood"

An ex once gave me a copy of "The Virtue of Selfishness" (I had never read any Rand or been exposed to her or her fans before his introduction). Let me see if I can find the book so I can quote his inscription accurately... Found it!
ReplyDelete"I love you very much. I hope you find this book as useful as I have. May you always use reason as the tool with which you view the world."
He often called me näive. The best proof of that is probably how long I stayed with him.
ps - I never read the damn book.
