Monster Fit Club: Week 14

Let's not mess around today. Time to weigh in, folks!

This week I GAINED 1 lb. I have a 14 lbs. total loss. I am 6 lbs. away from my 20 lb. goal.

UGH! I am so pissed right now because I honestly have no idea what I did wrong. :( I busted my ass all week working out and eating right. So right now I am just confused. Also, this week is my recovery week in P90X which is a little more low impact that the regular workouts, so now I am nervous I don't have anything to push me through this "plateau." I might have to add some extra cardio workouts in if I have time.

In conclusion, I feel like crap today! Please tell me you guys did better!

  1. Nightmare, maybe all that P90X is building up your muscles and that pound is from muscle mass.

    Or your scale is broken.

    Or you've entered unknowingly into a mirror world where you actually lost a pound. But this is mirror world where the opposite is true and the overweight are prized and the thin and trim are scorned! But may scorn is good because this is mirror world? Dammit Nightmare, get out of mirror world as it is all too confusing!!!!

  2. I'm down 23 lbs total, which is great. But. I had kind of a weird week. I was down a few more pounds mid week, so I'm not sure what happened.

    I have two social events (calorie fests) this week, the Chicago Monster Anniversary Mash on Thursday and my birthday party on Saturday. Gotta b strong!

  3. I wish I could make you happy, but.... I also gained weight since last time. I know why, certainly not gaining muscle. I was upset because of plateauing and kinda lapsed. But now I'm going to push through and get back in the game. Not sure how to switch it up, I do a lot of interval stuff already, anyone have any suggestions?

    Anchor, maybe try a different type of cardio. If you normally run, try the elliptical or biking. Also, you need to join us on!

  5. Ugh, I gained too. But, I decided Friday that I'm going to give myself a shopping spree every 20 lbs I lose. Since I like shopping, I'm hoping this will give me the extra motivation.

    Also, nightmare, I'm guessing it's a pound of muscle. Not sure if you're doing this, but you should measure yourself as well. You might have gained lbs but lost inches! :D

  6. I wanted to give myself time to see if I would stick with it/not embarrass myself, and I have done all right, so I'm going public...I'm on myfitnesspal (as BabyFriday)! Things are going well so far. My goal is something like 11-12 lbs, but really I just want to fit into all of my cute summer clothes! I've been walking, doing the stairmaster, doing yoga, and (most importantly) counting calories. Monster Fit Club GOOOOOO!!!

  8. So my first week was good. Lost 3.8 pounds but I think our scale is off. I have been counting calories and doing P90X workouts with a little running mixed in for good measure. I honestly don't trust the calories projections the P90X workouts suggest. It says for most workouts that I'm burning 500+ calories. I'm certainly not an expert but I find that hard to believe.

  9. You guys, I was so pissed and frustrated all week. I was trying really hard and even started trying to run. My feet were kinda mad at me, but I really wanted to push myself. Scale showed weird gains all week. Then I went out with friends Saturday night and ate french fries and lots of booze. Becaaaause when I weighed myself Friday, I'd lots 4 lbs. 4! That is a lot of pounds! So that was awesome and motivated the shit out of me. You can do it.

  10. 6 more pounds this week. celebrated a month of my diet. Grand total loss so far 26 lbs. Ea Active 2 was on clearance at best buy today so I picked that up and started the 90 day workout plan. Apparently weight loss doesn't magically make you fit because that thing kicked my ass.
