Behind the Grunts: Tights & Pads Week 17

Bored? Still Hungover from Friday? Looking to see what all the fuzz is about with this NF&L? Look no further than Dr. Trash'es patented game guide.
Week 17
Game of the week:
Saint Louis Rams Vs. Seattle Seahawks 7:20PM Central Time

Cool factor: Early Playoff
This game was chosen as the national, prime-time game of the week for one reason: this is basically a playoff game for these teams. The winner gets to play a wildcard team at home while the loser gets their season terminated. Sounds cool huh? It is trust me.

Suck Factor: Losing Record
Whichever team wins will make history as one of the crappiest teams to make the playoffs. The Rams would be the third team to go to the playoffs at .500 with an 8 wins-8 losses record, and the Seahawks would be THE crappiest team to make the playoffs ever with a losing record of 7 wins & 9 losses. This could however create interesting storylines if the winning team manages to, somehow, play well next week.

Player to watch: Rams QB Sam Bradford
The rookie QB from Oklahoma is the first Native American to win the Heisman Throphy, he reads the story of David & Goliath before every game & he is all business & such. Normally rookie QBs aren't started their first seasons-specially with playoff chances- but Bradford has shown that he can handle the leadership role. But just like any rookie he has struggled at times. This game could be very big for him.

Fun Factoid: The View
Matt Hasselbeck, the Seahawks QB, is Elissabeth Hasselbeck's brother in law. Here she is hugging Sarah Palin rocking some serious abs:

Other Interesting storylines

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears 3:15pm CT
Packers need to win this game to keep playoff hopes alive. This will most likely be a very rough, physical game. Also, if Chicago wins, I will make Atole wear a Bears Jersey.

Atlanta Falcons Vs. Carolina Panthers 12:00 pm CT
This is as long a shot as long cat is long, and as you know long cat is loooooooooooong. However, if somehow the Panthers manage to beat the Falcons, this could get really interesting. The Falcons would drop from the No. 1 seed to the fifth, meaning that instead of playing in their domed stadium, they might have to travel to cold places like Philadelphia & Chicago.  This could be the start of a painful collapse for the team that is believed to be the strongest candidate for the Superbowl in the NFC. Then again:
UPDATE
The Panthers Vs Falcons game is already a blowout (keyboard cat strikes again). Check out the NO-TB game if you want some good 'ol playing.

  5. I came in here expecting a discussion about leg wear and feminine hygiene products and all I can say is that I am incredibly disappointed. Also, this Seahawks-Rams game blows chunks.
